Well the year is almost over, and i have so many things to Blog about, the lake, the expecting of a baby, Michelle and Hemant's wedding.....I thought the best place to start would be update my goals i set out in a post in January.
15. Do something that really challenges me.
In my previous update I mention that i really didn't know if i have done this yet. But i now disagree with that, I realize that life is a challenge, and i often do many things that challenge me in a day, week so on... I think it is the fact that i continue to strive for more, continue to face these challenges and more often than not succeed at them, this is what makes me feel confident that i have completed this goal, and will continue to complete this goal throughout my life.
however, if that is not nearly enough of a response, i have recently started taking Math B30, and although i was nervous, i am seriously kicking butt!
14. Do something that terrifies me.
Math B30...nuff said. No i don't know if that really is terrifying, but i think making the firm choice to become a parent is. Not that i am terrified as to if i CAN do it or not, ( I have definitely had enough "on-the job training" for that) it is how can i ensure i will be a success at it?
13. Drink 32oz of water a day.
I have been so good at this, even more so lately, but i do this daily without fail. And my skin is thankful!
12. Go to Vegas.
I went May 18th, it was a blast, me and chris had the best time! i want to go back!
11. Go to the Playboy club
I went, not in but i went to it!
10. 30 minutes of physical activity a day
This is harder than it seems, I would have to say i failed this miserably, but it is still something i want to achieve, i just need a daily reminder or maybe it needs to become a scheduled part of my google calendar.....that might work, i am gonna try that!
9. Finish Painting my house up and down.
I wonder what i meant by this? everything? hmm... well i have finished the kitchen, upstairs living room, front entrance, and hall, the downstairs office. I still have the baby's room, and upstairs bathroom which we are starting ASAP, our bedroom and bathroom, downstairs living/Rec room, hall, back entrance and bathroom....whew! not nearly there are we? Silly girl thinking you could get it done so quickly!
8. Spend as much time as i can in my motorhome this summer.
I did, i spent lots of time, i even braved it out on the coldest days! it was nice, but not nearly my most relaxing summer, there where many unaccounted for variables, which again will be explained in a latter post tittled Lake 2009!
7. Get a Promotion
Oh I sure did...2 infact, although one was bittersweet, Initially i was promoted to Sr. Policy analyst and then more recently Acting Director of Intergovernmental Affairs (my department) it's Awesome!
6. Learn to take really good pictures
I love this, i love taking pictures, i wish i had more time to devote to it, but i really think my skill is coming along.....I see a goal for next year though, spend more time and increase my photoshop userability!
5. Buy a pair of jimmy choo's
For women who love shoes "jimmy choo" is as satisfying as crack is to an addict.....
4. Quit Smoking!
Sure did, but not on my own self will, It had a lot to do with goal number 2!
3. Cut My Hair.
I did, on may 17th, and its nice, but i am ready for my long hair to be back i miss it!
2. Get Pregnant!
I sure am! and oh so freaking excited. Its been a long time coming, and we couldn't be happier. I will share more in a latter blog post tittled I'm Pregnant!
1. Get married to the Man i love more than anything in the most amazing wedding ever!
I sure did, and it was perfect, everything was perfect, i wish i could live that day over and over and over, it was the best day of my life!
I feel good, about this list, if new years was tomorrow i would be happy with my success's for the year.

...
I have never struggled with "to write or not to write" before....i think i have decided to write.....
Someone who used to be very close to me experienced a very tragic loss this week. Her daughter. Her young teenage daughter. I have recently parted ways with this family, but i am forever indebted to this mother for her help to move me forward in my professional career it was this support and guidance that put me on a successful track. It was also more, they were like family to me, and that is what made this news so hard to take.
She was so young, beautiful, and successful, i cannot imagine the pain the family feels, but i know they are strong and courageous and they will make through it.
So why did i chose "to write," Selfishness really, i feel 'reconnecting' with this family at this time would be inappropriate, not to mention probally not well recieved, but i need to get these feelings off my chest. Closure so to speak. This loss hit me very hard and i find that coping with it is not going so well, i find myself very sad, and carrying a lot of grief. This is not like me, i have got A+ coping skills; I think it has to do with not being able to share this grief with anyone.
So therefore, i chose "to write" not because i wanted to make everyone who reads this sad, but because i needed to SHARE.
As an auntie, and hopefully one day a mother, we need to remember how special our girls (boys too!lol) are to us, as daughters we need to remember that our moms and aunties, etc. are always there for us.
I know i havent really said anything, havent really shared to much, but for some reason, i feel it helped, me at least.
My thoughts will remain with the family.
Peace!

Honeymoon
Okay so i know i am doing this backwards! I will do a wedding post soon.
We went to Vegas for our honey moon, and it was awesome. We flew out at 6am on the 18th and came home at 11:00 on the 26th.we had so much fun, but came home exhausted. We stayed at the Luxor in a spa suite it was really nice, the hotel was really good.
Us in Sasaktoon Airport 6am:
Day one
Day Two
That evening we had Dinner and show packages for Tender and Criss Angel Believe.

We continued on to watch the Belagio Fountain from ground level before heading back to our hotel.
Day Four

from here we went to book our gondola ride and walked around the venetian shops and checked out the living statues. These were amazing, the guy did not move!
And on top our Gondola ride which was really cool, the water was so blue and it was so hot out, the gondolier even sang for us.

We then walked the strip a bit, went to Sephora checked out the Mirage,
went back to our hotel to get changed And continued on to Margarittaville for supper, Than 'O'. Chris loved O, i, not so much. I realized i am not much of a cirque fan, i mean it was really good, they were talented it was neat with the water stage; but it got boring and there was not a story to it, not like the Criss Angel Cirque which i enjoyed much more. but if its your thing, then you would most likely love it! Me however, i would have rather went to the blueman group! LOL
We proceeded to check out the M&M store and gameworks. That evening we went to the Palms to check out the playboy club!
So that was it, basically, i know i left out alot, but this is the general idea of what we did! Wedding post coming soon!

Us in Sasaktoon Airport 6am:
Day one
So we were pretty tired when we got to Vegas after a whole day of flying. (as i am cheap and we flew through Calgary AND Vancouver!) but we checked in, and made ourselves at home. Of course we need to go shopping so off we went to Boulevard Mall.
Then we went to the hard rock with the intention of catching a glimpse of the Nirvana display and the signed Kurt Cobain guitar. But i was starting to feel yucky so we ended up walking around a bit and heading back to our hotel for a rest.
That evening we went to see a topless show. Fantasy It was REALLY good!
We stuck pretty close to our hotel this day as we were still trying to recover energy lost from the wedding and the day of flying. We walked through Mandalay place and checkout Mandalay bay. we went to House of Blues at Mandalay Bay for lunch.
That evening we had Dinner and show packages for Tender and Criss Angel Believe.
Supper was awful, not very good at all, but believe was alright, we were front row, and criss angel is hot! the story was kinda morbid but very eventful and entertaining.
Day 3
SHOPPING!
we did the outlets this day, which i loved! definitely a highlight of the trip for me!
We then went to ceasers to find someplace for supper as we had intentions of going to see the pussycat dolls that evening at their lounge at Pure nightclub in Ceasers.
we walked around the forum shops, i drooled over all the amazing things, people worry about going to Vegas and gambling away all their money i worry about going to Vegas and shopping it all away!
We had lots of time to kill before PCD, so we decide to go walk around a bit. We walked outside right as the Belagio Fountain was starting so we stopped and watched. We proceeded on to Paris to view the strip from their observation deck.
We then went to Bobby Flay's MESA for supper, it was AMAZING! Chris has a coffee rubbed fillet which was a little spicy and so good!
We continued on to see PCD, and all though everything said they were supposed to be on this particular night, there lounge never did open, at least not by 11:30, (it was supposed to open at 11) so we left.
We continued on to watch the Belagio Fountain from ground level before heading back to our hotel.
Day Four
SHOPPING! lol
we went to Fashion Show Mall (across from the Wynn) and Miracle Mile in planet Hollywood. It was at Miracle Mile were i seen Holly Madison! I have never been a star stuck person before but it was holly fricken madison! I didnt know what to do, should i go after her? I kinda stood stunned then walked in to ben sherman, once i came to i said we have to go find her! we lost her though! :( (I twittered her but she did not reply!) The next day Kendra was hosting a pool party at Wet republic in the MGM where her and holly were gonna be. but i decide this may border on stalking! LOL In this evening we went to Carrot top. Which...was...HILARIOUS... such a good show, he is so funny, even chris laughed, (he was not looking forward to CT) we laughed from the time we sat down for one hour and a half straight!
Day Five
aside from shopping, my most favorite day!
We did the Venetian and walked a bit of the strip. It was so great.
We started at Madame Tussuad's wax museum, where i was lucky enough to meet hef!
from here we went to book our gondola ride and walked around the venetian shops and checked out the living statues. These were amazing, the guy did not move!
We then walked the strip a bit, went to Sephora checked out the Mirage,
Day 6
We went to the MGM to see thier lions, the rainforest cafe for lunch and tournament of kings for supper. Afterwards we decided to walk to treasure island..long walk! We watched the Sirens of TI, which was neat, but overrated,(it was now Memorial Day long Weekend) The crowd was should to should if not worse (no exaggeration) we then walked down to the mirage to see the volcano
Day 7
We stayed pretty low, we went To MESA again for supper, and then off to the Hard Rock to get a glimpse of that guitar. Which we were politely informed the display has been removed and replaced with OKGO! (who???) lame, they proceeded to tell us the guitar is still in the hotel but not on display! Quite pissed off! nonetheless off we went!
Day 8
We hung out at the pool which was so nice and warm, aw i want to go back to that pool! its hard to write about this with the crappy weather we have here!
Peace!
Dazi!
